Why does Hicks beat third?
For much of the season, Boone has faced Aaron Judge and Giancarlo against each other against the southpaw. But Friday, Boone put Aaron Hicks in third place, with Judge in second place and Stanton in fourth. What gives?
I think that just Hicks and Didi – Hicks continue to become the player that he has become like a southpaw, an inverter batter or a southpaw to separate them a bit. Less than a double candidate play on the three holes. Another guy who goes up to the base a ton. I just like either him or Didi at this place as a southpaw to separate the big boys.

Are you waiting for a Chris Sale in good health?
The Red Sox's ace, Chris Sale, has been on the disabled list twice since the end of July. His speed was well below his last start. Boston manager Alex Cora said he was expecting Sale to be 100% free on Friday. What about the Yankees?
"Yes," Boone said. "I guess you never know … we'll get ready for the big launcher and we'll see what we get, he's obviously done very well against us, I know that if nothing else, it's a great competitor. So he will be, at a certain level, very difficult for us.It is certainly probably a little unknown in regards, do we get the good things dirty or a tick? We will see. "
If the sale is not healthy, would this pose a problem of adaptation?
When Sale is healthy, his fastball reaches the top of the 90s. But he also has a clear slider and excellent control. If Sale can not lift the ball fast, he could go to break the ball too heavy. Would it be difficult to adapt?
"I do not know if it's necessarily a big adjustment," said Boone. "We know the equipment, we know the launcher, we know what it's going to launch, it's really, really hard – but its repertoire, material and content, and everything else that's going to be the same. or so, so I do not necessarily think our hitters will adapt to anything. "
Worried for the defense?
And especially about double games? First baseman Luke Voit rushed to second place and killed a potential double play in the Wild Card. Boone basically shrugged and said there was not much the team could do at this point.
"I actually think Luke did a good job in this area," said Boone. "It's a bit unorthodox, its throwing slot and that sort of thing. But it moves pretty well out there and I feel like it's getting rid pretty well of I think it's a part of his game that he did a very good job of. "
