Abdulnap, Khabib Nurmagomedov's father, forgives Conor McGregor

Khabib Nurmagomedov's father and coach, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, was one of Conor McGregor's first targets in the construction of UFC 229.

After the victory of Nurmagomedov (27-0 MMA, 11-0 UFC) and a huge fight after the fight, the father of the champion leaves the past past.

"I forgive Conor McGregor, all in the past," wrote Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov on his official Instagram page.

Former Nurmagomedov could not participate in the fight last Saturday after being denied a visa to enter the United States. But even from afar, his influence was evident in the aftermath of the fray. Khabib Nurmagomedov expects his father to "break" him for his actions.

Indeed, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov promised on social media: "My sanctions against Khabib will be much harsher than those of the UFC."

Currently, the UFC lightweight champion is awaiting a complaint from the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which regulated the event and is conducting an investigation into the incident. Nurmagomedov risks a fine, suspension and other sanctions that the commission deems appropriate for his role in the fight. His $ 2 million purse was held at the end of the event, while McGregor (21-4 MMA, 9-2 UFC) was fully paid.

McGregor, however, is also facing possible disciplinary action, likely to fight with his teammates Nurmagomedov. During the preparation of the event, he repeatedly attacked the lightweight champion. But he started by knocking near him (via Instagram).

UFC President Dana White reported that these teammates had been arrested by the Las Vegas Police Department, but McGregor declined to file a complaint. The LVPD then issued a statement, MMAFighting.com, that it had not made any arrests.

White defended himself against critics who claimed that the promotion had fanned the flames of the fight by highlighting an infamous bus attack by McGregor.

"The way we promoted the fight was exactly the same as that," he said. "It's all part of the story."

Several MMA observers also noted the religious and ethnic nuances that accompanied the promotion paving the way for conflict. But Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov said that he and his son were going ahead.

"It is necessary to analyze everything that has happened and to learn from it," he wrote.
