LOS ANGELES (KABC) –
A Los Angeles-based actress filed a petition seeking a domestic violence prohibition order against attorney Michael Avenatti.
Avenatti, best known for representing porn star Stormy Daniels in his battle with President Donald Trump, was arrested last week on suspicion of domestic violence.
The woman who requested the temporary blocking order was identified as Mareli Miniutti.
It was not immediately clear if she was the same person involved in the LAPD case against Avenatti, as the name of the alleged victim in this incident had not been disclosed.
Miniutti is an actress whose IMDB filmography lists several small roles, including an uncredited role in "Ocean's Eight".
ABC News contacted Miniutti, but she did not comment.
Avenatti tweeted Monday night: "I can not wait to see my name clarified and to reveal all the facts, I have never mistreated a woman, nor have I committed domestic violence against anyone." Any statement to the contrary is totally false and made a lie, a target, and I will be exonerated. "
I can not wait to see my name clarified and disclose all the facts. I have never abused a woman nor committed domestic violence against anyone. Any claim to the contrary is completely false and fabricated. I am a target. And I will be exonerated.

A hearing on the motion for a restraining order was scheduled for December 10 in Santa Monica.
