Adam Thielen, a distant receiver of the Minnesota Vikings, is now among the best of the best in the history of the NFL. While the talented receiver is about to break incredible records in the 2018 season, he is now tied, which seemed unlikely to be touched.

In the team's eighth week against the New Orleans Saints, Thielen defeated former Detroit Lions player Calvin Johnson for the most consecutive 100-yard games. Courtesy of ESPN Statistics and Information:

Thielen needs one more game to beat Johnson's record, but the Vikings will face a strong Detroit Lions side in Week 9. East shot that should hold the attention of the entire NFL.

Record year of Calvin Johnson

In the 2012 season in which Johnson played eight straight games with at least 100 yards, it all started in Week 9, when he was 129 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He passed the 200-yard mark twice on the course, once against the Vikings (207 yards) and again in the eighth game against the Atlanta Falcons (225 yards).

Johnson's series was broken on Dec. 30 against the Chicago Bears when he caught 5 of 14 goals for 72 yards. His 2012 season was completed with the All-Pro totaling 122 catches for 1,964 yards and five touchdowns.
