Aeromexico Plane Crashes in Mexico

MEXICO – An Aeromexico passenger plane carrying 101 people crashed Tuesday in the state of Durango, Mexico, according to Mexican officials and images posted on social networks. The Mexican airline said on its Twitter account that the Embraer ERJ-190AR aircraft was to leave the Guadalupe Victoria airport from the city of Durango to get to Mexico City. Photos posted on social networks by the Durango section of the country's Civil Protection Agency revealed a thick black smoke rising from the body of the plane. Several ambulances were also seen in the area right next to what appeared to be a runway.
