The start of Saturday's game between the Cubs and the Nationals was delayed by 2 hours and 10 minutes due to bad weather.
This happened after Friday's game was delayed twice first for 1 hour, 21 minutes, then, after starting to play, 2:55 more until the match was finally postponed.
The teams finally clashed after delays totaling 6 hours and 26 minutes. It was not worth waiting for the Cubs.
All hope of making a contribution from the southpaw Jaime Garcia faded, while Garcia walked three and was shot after Juan Soto was credited with a two-point single past first baseman Anthony Rizzo when of a first round of three innings. the nationals won a 10-3 victory.

Championship players Javier Baez and Kris Bryant did not start, though Baez hit in the seventh end before committing a foul. Bryant beat for Tyler Chatwood in the ninth and struck out.
Manager Joe Maddon was hoping to get two rounds of Garcia, who had not participated in a league game since August 20 with the Blue Jays.
