While hundreds of grocery stores, pharmacies and other retailers in the Carolinas closed Saturday due to Tropcial Firenze, many are expected to reopen on Sunday.
"You have our promise, that for stores that are closed, we will reopen them to serve you as soon as they are safe" Food Lion posted on his website.
Some, including Harris Teeter stores, will have shorter hours.

"The weather and the mandatory evacuations related to Hurricane Florence have caused Harris Teeter to close or change the opening hours of some sites," the company said in a statement on its website.
One of the easiest ways to find out if the major food chains and stores have reopened is to check online. Retailers publish regular updates at store opening and modified hours.
Walmart also advises customers to check Facebook pages of local stores for hours.
