SANTA CLARA – The 49ers will have a different starting quarter and a new generation on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Only the identity of the quarterback No. 3 49ers will not change after the injury end of season Jimmy Garoppolo.
The team's emergency quarterback is still Kyle Juszczyk, whose daily work is that of 49's.
Because the 49ers have not worn any real third quarter for any match of the past two seasons, Juszczyk is the man who remains in the role of emergency.

Head Coach Kyle Shanahan said that he had never been forced to make the emergency replacement during his coaching career in the NFL. Juszczyk, who was also Baltimore's emergency quarterback in his first four professional seasons, has never had a chance to qualify for an NFL game.
Juszczyk has held many posts in high school, including quarterback, making him the most qualified candidate to replace him if the top two quarterbacks of the team were no longer available. He also played in wild cat plays at Harvard, where he was selected three times in the All-Ivy League.
Juszczyk said he was reserving time every Friday to take pictures of the 49ers of the Weston Richburg Center. Juszczyk even played the quarterback game for the first time this season during the team's preliminary round on Friday, he said.
The 49ers would have relied on running back Jerick McKinnon, judging by his playing at the post while studying at Georgia Southern, Shanahan said. McKinnon was injured in the knee late in the season eight days before the start of the season, allowing Juszczyk to play that role again. But even if McKinnon was healthy, Juszczyk was not ready to give him the job.

"Let's hope this does not happen," Juszczyk said. "But if that's the case, I'll have a good time."
