The Los Angeles Lakers' hopes of success in 2018-2019 rest primarily on the shoulders of former quadruple Kia MVP winner, LeBron James. However, he can not do everything for the Lakers and needs some of his younger teammates – Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and others – to take a big step forward for LA to expand to new.
After the pre-season victory of 128-123 against the Sacramento Kings last night, James could not help but praise Ingram's performance. The third year striker recorded 31 points (10 shots on 15), 10 rebounds, three assists, three interceptions and one block. This type of varied performance (a mark including 11 out of 15 points on the free throw line) provides the Lakers with the kind of secondary offense the team needs this season.
"I thought about it [Ingram] It was great, "said James, who finished with 18 points and four assists in 16 minutes last night." His pace, his ability to play point and wing are a very special talent, and we are really happy to have him on our side.
"I know what I see in him, and he's looking for that opportunity to make the next jump in his third year, so there's a lot of potential in this kid, and I'm happy to try to give him as much that I can. "
With the game in play, Ingram delighted the Lakers and Lakers with his defense against Kings' Cameron Reynolds on a deep pass.

Ingram took on some of the Lakers' playmaking duties last season, recording 10 starts as a leader in January when Ball was out with an injury. He took on this role on Thursday (veteran Rajon Rondo was treated to the evening and Ball continued to recover from a knee surgery) and presented key pieces to help L.A. win.
Half of his 10 goals were scored in the field, while he also scored midfielder pulls when he had 12 points in the final eight minutes of the game.

"He's a big boy, he works very hard – and he has a lot of talent," James said. "And he believes in his ability, so we will see what is the next jump, but I mean that none of us is a prophet, we do not know."
Playing alongside James, even in the first two pre-season games, has significantly changed Ingram's life on the field. And James' praise pushes Ingram to want to do more.
"It takes so much [defensive] be careful, said Ingram about James. "I was much more efficient with the scores. And then it gives me more energy on the defensive side – just to keep my guy, take the passing line and try to start our attack on the defensive side.
"It makes me want to keep going.I do not think I want to stop here.My expectations are far superior to those of anyone in this room or anyone, so for him, it's an extreme compliment, he is my teammate and I have to turn his back on him at all times. "
