There was first Black Friday, then Cyber Monday. Now there is travel Tuesday.
In recent years, the number of airlines participating in the annual post-Thanksgiving retail festival, Black Friday, has been steadily increasing. However, airlines and the travel industry have taken a page of Amazon and Walmart game books with their own "business day". And it starts to make its way.
Although Tuesdays are generally good days to find bargains on flights, the Tuesday following Thanksgiving should be even more fruitful for bargain hunters.
The Hopper airfare forecasting website predicts that the number of flights sold by Travel Tuesday will be twice that of Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined.
The website claims to have detected offers on 20% of all global connections last year during Travel Tuesday. And the sales of plane tickets should be impressive this year as well.
In fact, Hopper expects significant savings on some of the world's most popular destinations, including 41% off flights to London, 32% off flights to Paris and 32% off on flights to Hong Kong.

Until now, airlines have not yet published special offers on trips made on Tuesday. However, many major airlines have expanded their sales to Black Friday to also cover Cyber Monday and Travel Tuesday. Here are some of the best deals:
- Southwest- Southwest offers a $ 125 discount on US vacation packages and a $ 250 discount on international vacation packages. Discounts are valid until December 3rd.
- Cathay Pacific – The Hong Kong-based airline's offerings include round-trip flights between the United States and Asia for under $ 600, including Boston, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles bound for Hong Kong. Offers are available until November 27th.
- Aer Lingus – Irish airline Aer Lingus is offering a $ 50 discount on return tickets for flights to Europe, including New York, Boston, Chicago and Washington, DC West Coast cities such as Los Angles, San Francisco and Seattle benefit from a $ 100 discount on flights to Europe. This offer is available until 18:59 EST on November 28th.
- EasyJet- The British low-cost carrier offers discounts of $ 64 or £ 50 on more than 60,000 "City Breaks" or its flight and hotel packages.
