A former student at the University of Alabama has at least one woman with links to Alabama who will appear in the next season of the reality show The Bachelor.
The season of Colton Underwood does not take place for a few months, but the former footballer met Thursday three women who will fight a rose and his heart.
Annie, a 23-year-old DU native, was one of three candidates to compete at the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, where they played a game for the chance to meet Underwood before everyone else. ABC does not usually publish the names of competitors.
DeGeneres challenged the woman to a game of "Know or Go". She asked each woman a question. If they answered correctly, they continued. If they were wrong, they fell through a trapdoor into the ground.
Annie was the last girl standing up. She was asked what she found most attractive at Underwood and she replied that she had seven dogs. Underwood is a notorious dog lover.
Two other Alabama residents – one UA student and the other a Birmingham area model – would also be candidates for the Underwood season.
Underwood, 26, appeared during the most recent season, The Bachelorette, among the dozens who were competing for the Bachelorette Heart Becca Kufrin. The former NFL player reached the Final Four, but was sent home. He will be the star of the 23rd season of the Bachelor when it was created in January 2019.
