Check out the ranking of the top 10 teams in the country according to the Amway Coaches survey conducted after the sixth week of the university football season.

October marked the first really crazy week of college football, resulting in a major reshuffle in the Amway Coaches poll.
The top four teams remained the same, with Alabama No. 1 continuing to win 61 of 64 first place votes after Crimson Tide's victory over Arkansas. Georgia retained second place after eliminating Vanderbilt. State # 3 Ohio State overcame a sluggish start and retained a No. 1 vote. Clemson, fourth in the standings, retaining two No. 1 places, also held out well after his most unbalanced result of the season at Wake Forest.
This is where stability ends. Notre Dame climbed into the top five after her victory in prime time at Virginia Tech, which kept her record unblemished. The No. 6 West Virginia assumes the role of the Big 12's highest team. The No. 7 Washington and the No. 8 Penn State now enjoy the distinction of being the top rated teams.
Store: Texas. The Longhorns were rewarded for their thrilling victory over rival Oklahoma of Red River with a six-place jump to 14th.
Low stock: Oklahoma. The Sooners have dropped six places to 11th place, even though they are still very involved in the Big 12 hunt.

Store: Central Florida. Knights continue to win and voters take note. UCF ranks in the top 10 with a four-place win at No. 9. They are no longer the only AAFC representative in the poll, while South Florida and Cincinnati are entering the standings this week.
Low stock: LSU. The dream start of the Tigers was right in Florida and they lost six places in 12th place.
Store: Colorado. The Buffs survived the Arizona State's challenge to remain undefeated and gained four places to qualify for No. 18.
Low stock: Auburn. The other SEC Tigers lost for the second time this season in the state of Mississippi and recorded the largest drop in the rankings (12 places) in 21st place.
New Kids On The Block: No. 16 Florida, No. 22 Texas A & M, No. 23 South Florida, No. 25 Cincinnati.
College dropouts: State of Michigan, State of Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, Boise State.
