Alec Baldwin was trapped again with his foot in his mouth.
The 60-year-old actor was confronted with online reactions Tuesday after declaring that "blacks are going crazy" for his impression of President Donald Trump.
"I do not know how to say that and I do not want to be wrong either, because everything is a minefield of bombs that goes off," Baldwin told the Hollywood Reporter in an interview published on Tuesday. "But since I play Trump, black people love me. They love me."
He continued, "Wherever I go, black people go crazy. I think it's because they're afraid of Trump. I will not paint all African Americans with the same brush, but a significant number of them are sitting: "It's going to be bad for blacks."
Baldwin's comments have set Twitter on fire, with some users throwing a bucket of cold water over the actor's claims. Others have noted that Baldwin seemed to channel Trump a bit too much in this case.
