Authorities have indicted Alec Baldwin for assault and harassment after his arrest for hitting a man in the face during a dispute over a parking spot in front of the actor 's home in New York. Baldwin did not comment as he passed in front of journalists and photographers after his release from police custody. (November 2nd)

NEW YORK (AP) – Alec Baldwin appeared in a New York court Monday after being accused of having hit a man in the face above a parking place.
The 60-year-old actor did not say anything because he was brought to trial for counts of offenses. He previously stated that he had done nothing wrong.
Baldwin was arrested on November 2nd. The police learned that a driver had parked in a reserved Manhattan parking lot that a member of Baldwin's family was holding for him, and the two men started to argue and push each other .
The other driver told the police that Baldwin had hit or slapped him. The 49-year-old man was taken to the hospital to complain of jaw pain and redness around the neck.
"Mr. Baldwin is a public figure whose reputation has been tainted by newspaper reports that he hit a man on a street in New York City," said his lawyer, Alan Abramson.

"There is irrefutable video evidence that has been handed over to the Attorney General's office and that proves beyond a doubt that Mr. Baldwin has never struck anyone," said the lawyer. "Mr. Baldwin has not committed any crime and we are confident that once this case has been thoroughly investigated, it will be resolved promptly and appropriately in the face of a court."
Baldwin, the star of the TV series "30 Rock" and the current host of "Match Game", portrayed Republican President Donald Trump in "Saturday Night Live" and recently launched a talk show on ABC.
Police arrested him on charges of assault and harassment, but prosecutors demoted them on Monday for attempted assault and harassment.
