Although it seems unlikely, right-winger Mookie Betts could move to second base when the World Series move to a National League stage next week.
Speaking to reporters Saturday, Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora has not ruled out the possibility that the Red Sox are traveling against the Los Angeles Dodgers for matches 3, 4 and (if necessary ) 5, and may not use a designated hitter.
David Price overcame his playoff difficulties with six shutouts while Boston won ALCS by eliminating the defending champions.

"I do not know, man," Cora said. "He's already played second in the regular season, there's always a chance, I guess."
The first-year Red Sox manager spoke of August 3, when Betts played six innings in second against the Yankees in New York after Ian Kinsler injured his hamstring.
Betts coached before the regular season games and was at a crossroads for some work on Saturday when Boston coached at Fenway Park.
"He will take the balls on the ground, as usual, that will not change," said Cora. "But obviously, we'll see who we play and the clashes."
World Series second base bets would allow Boston to move regular hitter J.D. Martinez to the right field while keeping left-field player Andrew Benintendi and center-field Jackie Bradley Jr. in training.

Betts knows the job well. He grew up playing the second goal and participated 14 times (122 innings) as a rookie in 2014. But Veterans Kinsler and Brock Holt are playing this role.
"We have very good second base players, we have very good field players," Cora told reporters. "As I said, we are in the World Series." This conversation was about to resume, and one thing is certain, JD will play, it's clear.
"We will see which alignment is the best, which alignment is the best and we will make decisions accordingly."
