Mumbai: It's over! The trailer everyone was waiting for was finally unveiled and 'Thugs of Hindostan' is surely up for grabs.
As seen in the trailer, the story is about 'Thug' Amitabh Bachchan aka Azad and his protégé Zafira, played by Fatima Sana Shaikh, who faces the British in the 1800s with their skilled tactics.
Leaders are not in the mood to let go and want to snatch Azir Khan, aka Firangi, who works with Big B's team at all costs.
Firangi does not succeed very well in his secret mission, and Aamir and Big B face this treason.
Aamir has already been identified as a "Desi" Jack Sparrow aka Johnny Depp since his look was revealed, and the trailer reinforces this fact, and the similarities with the franchise "Pirates of the Caribbean"
Aamir's comic avatar might well remind you of his other memorable performances in such films as Rang De Basanti and Rangeela.
Katrina Kaif's Suraiyya is only for the glamorous quotient, and she seems sensual in at least two titles that could give the "Sheila Ki Jawani" and "Chikni Chameli" contest. His chemistry with Aamir will probably be among the highlights.
Fatima looks awesome with armor, shooting bow and focused attitude, but does not speak and Big B, with eyes on the enemy, does most of the robust 'dialogbaazi' which he is pro.
The film basically talks about the action and with swords, knives, arrows, bombs and guns all around, a visual extravagance seems guaranteed.
"Thugs of Hindostan" is written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, produced by Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films.
"Thugs of Hindostan" is released on November 8th.
