All that the future holds for Nora during Season 5

Spoilers below for all those who have not yet watched the premiere of Season 5 of The Flash.

Nora West-Allen should not live and breathe in 2018, nor befriend her fast father and the rest of the Flash team. But the Allen lineage is not known for its brilliant impulsive thinking, so we are there. Fortunately, Jessica Parker Kennedy's fast race car breathed charming charm into the premiere of Season 5 and dropped a ton of future referrals.

Let's take a look at each of the important and interesting revelations made during "Nora". But instead of trying to avoid hearing them like Barry, we welcome them and wonder if every new detail could really affect the series.

The museum of the flash

Nora revealed that she had never really known Barry growing up – more on that later – and that she had almost learned everything from him through the existing Flash Museum in his future. A museum that has followed and detailed the exploits not only of Barry Allen, but also that of Wally West (and perhaps others), who is leaving now. Nora named "Mr. Myles" as the curator, probably referring to Dexter Myles, the current owner of the Central City Museum. Or maybe that's his son.

Could this have a major impact on the story ?: Probably not directly, unless Barry visits the future for any reason. Otherwise, it will probably come in Nora's conversations.

Lightning Lad & # 39; s Bolt

While Nora and Iris are about to embark on an embarrassing conversation with CC Jitters, the first one notices the symbol of the Flash in its milk coffee mousse. She smiles and notices that Barry's flash is much colder than Lightning Lad's. As comic fans know, Lightning Lad is one of the few nicknames used by speedster Garth Ranzz, a founding member of the Legion of Superheroes in the 30th and 31st centuries.

Could this have a major impact on the story ?: That's unlikely, but Supergirl is currently boasting Brainiac 5, a member of the Legion of the Earth, as a regular character and has also introduced Saturn Girl. It is therefore possible that the Legion plays more in the current seasons.

Some Batman Beyond Slang

While Nora and Iris are having coffee, Nora uses the slang word "Shway", which Iris claims to be familiar with. (She even reports it at the end of the episode, because that's what delusional moms do.) The flash The creative team has taken this reference from another future-oriented project, the animated series Batman Beyond. In the Kids WB series, the word "shway" meant "cool" and it's popularized in pop culture. Or at least as popularized as a slang word drawn from a 90s animation show.

Could this have a major impact on the story ?: I do not see that happening, but it would be rather shy if it happened.

King Shark Vs. Gorilla Grodd

King Shark and Grodd, two of the biggest and most dangerous meta-creatures, will be fighting for the fight at some point in the future of Central City. Todd Helbing, spectator of the series, has already alluded to this CG show that immediately interested the fans. Of course, this verbal reference could mean that it will not actually be seen in the series, which would be the least far-fetched thing of all time.

Could this have a major impact on the story ?: This would certainly be the case if the fight actually became a focal point. And that should definitely be done, because we want to see a shark and a gorilla fight, damn it.

Barry never returns to Earth-1

Nora shows Barry a newspaper title of the future, revealing that he is still missing 25 years after the first "Crisis" event evoked in the 2024 newspaper title. Many fans have guessed that it was the reason for the trip of Nora in time, but it's still a moving motivation. Nora's behavior vis-à-vis Iris clearly shows that their life together after Barry's disappearance was not the most fulfilling, which is more depressing than it should be.

Could this have a major impact on the story ?: That's already the case, really. Since the beginning of the series, Barry is trying to avoid his predestined fate and now discovers that his future is even worse than he thought. That's why he decided to keep Nora in the present, which will likely complicate things.

Barry fights the rule of the crowd

The sequence in which Team Flash attempted to thwart an airplane crash was one of the biggest puzzles in the episode. (Would all passengers and baggage have also crossed this building?) Whatever it is, Nora explained that Barry had flown a plane into a building during a future fight with Mob Rule. It would be crazy to see this cartoon group in the series, since it is composed of a group of duplicates of Barry's friend, Manuel Lago, all from members cut by the criminal group Basilisk. All thanks to a CIA experience, of course.

Could this have a major impact on the story ?: Mob Rule will probably not be a big part of the TV show, but it will be good for Barry to know how to put giant cars in phase.

The atom created Barry's new costume

Another highlight in the season 5 premiere was when Barry needed a new suit and Nora had one. Only it was not on a hanger or anything, but inside a magic ring. Surprisingly, Cisco has nothing to do with creating this new super-suit and Nora reveals that it was designed by Ryan Choi. Created by Gail Simone and Grant Morrison, Ryan is the third major character in the comics to assume the role of Atom, after Ray Palmer, and was part of the Titans.

Could this have a major impact on the story ?: Probably not on The flash, but the introduction of Ryan Choi to the Arrow-verse could have ramifications on Legends of tomorrow, where Brandon Routh's Ray Palmer is probably not looking for a replacement.

Which of these revelations was the most fun for you guys? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned for more Flash folly every Tuesday night on the CW at 20:00 ET. (Next week, we'll learn more about Chris Klein's Cicada.) Until you hear from Nora, head over to our TV preview schedule to see all the other shows coming soon to the premium. time.
