Disney has been looking for Netflix profit margins for some time and has finally announced the name of its new streaming service, dubbed "Disney +" creatively.
While it seems like almost every mega-company is going into the streaming business, Disney has … well, just about everything, the streaming service has an edge over the competition .
Here's what Disney + has to offer:
Star wars
If you are a Star wars fan, you should be ecstatic because you have to complain about new incoming content. The first one is Jon Favreau The mandalorian, a series intended to follow a bandit armed with a shining Mandalorian armor that is not Boba Fett.
Although details of the plot are rare, the list of directors aligned to oversee the first episodes is enough to attract the attention of the most skeptical Star wars fan: Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The clone war), Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates) and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).
The last season of The clone war will also be available in streaming. In addition to this, there is another live-action series in the works, starring Cassian Andor from Thief A, that is, a continuation of the sequel to the original movie – background stories always go to the bottom of a galaxy far, far away.
Fun enough, the original Star wars the trilogy will not be available on Disney +; at least not before the rights are abandoned Turner Broadcasting from AT & T Inc.

Tom Hiddleston's Loki has his own series, inscribing himself in the Marvel tradition of undermine every death of War of Infinity, while Captain Marvel will be the first of the MCU movies to hit Disney + instead of Netflix, after the movie release. The captain will of course be joined by the other 18 (!) Films catalog Marvel.
Daredevil and Jessica Jones, on the other hand, are being cooled at Netflix for the moment.
Bucky Barnes, Falcon and Scarlet Witch have all been rumor receive their own series too, but nothing has been officially confirmed yet. Hawkeye could play well in his own series, although I think it could significantly overestimate the character's popularity.
On the other hand, Arrow it's turned out to be quite successful.
And of course, Disney's huge catalog of classic animated films (and soulless remakes and live-action) will make its appearance on the streaming service, with all the Pixar movies and a new Monsters Inc series.
We will also be treated to remakes of The trap of the parents, Honey, I have reduced the kids, and The father of the bridebecause apparently the nineties are making a big comeback.
Disney general manager Robert Iger also said that Disney + would not subject users to the whim of a boring and inefficient (Netflix) algorithm, but would split the catalog into five hubs: Disney-specific TV shows and movies (Lion King, Pinocchio, etc.), Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar and National Geographic (which Disney will soon have, due to the huge Fox merger).
I told you that they have just about everything. Now, the only question is: can they compete with Netflix originals?
