Allegiant Air will be flying from Nashville International Airport to five destinations starting in June.

Nashville travelers will have a new cheap getaway soon, with flights to the beach starting at $55 from BNA next spring.

Allegiant announced Tuesday that it will start service from Nashville to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport beginning in April.

As part of a celebration of the new route, the company said in a release, one-way fares will start at $55 once the route begins April 5, 2019.

“We’re thrilled to grow again in Nashville,” Drew Wells, Allegiant vice president of planning and revenue, said in the release. “In just a few short months, we’ve seen continued growth in Music City, as this community has welcomed us and our brand of friendly, convenient, ultra-low-cost service.”

The flights are scheduled to fly twice weekly to the eighth service city for Allegiant from Nashville.

The company said certain conditions apply to the cheap tickets: They must be purchased by Nov. 14 for travel by Aug. 13, 2019.

Future nonstops? Here are the top nine destinations that could fly direct to BNA

“We are delighted Allegiant will be expanding at BNA with nonstop service to Sarasota, Florida,” Doug Kreulen, BNA president and CEO, said in the release. “This is a route currently not offered at BNA, so this new nonstop service gives our passengers more travel options, especially when planning their next vacation. We appreciate Allegiant’s investment in Nashville and in our airport.”
