DENVER (CBS4) – The cold, wet air continues to flow over Colorado this weekend.
A drizzle all day has frozen over most of the Front Range and Eastern Plains, making it very cold on the region until Sunday morning. Add to that a small amount of snow over the ice and driving will be very dangerous until Sunday morning too.
Due to the threat of icy shifts due to winter precipitation and falling temperatures, the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for much of northern and northeastern Colorado until midnight.
This system will not really affect the western part of the state, but there will be snow flurries in the mountains if you plan to ski, mainly along Highway 50 and north of it.
We are planning a quick release for Sunday with a quiet start to Thanksgiving week, which is perfect for starting your vacation trip!
