Cowboys receiver Amari Cooper has caught up since arriving in Dallas last week. Despite the fact that he will only have five trainings, Cooper will start Monday night, said Friday the offensive coordinator, Scott Linehan.
Not only will Cooper begin, but he will play an important role.
"We are not trying to calm him down," said Linehan, via Todd Archer of ESPN.
Cooper spent his week off in California collecting his stuff. It worked perfectly with Sanjay Lal, coach of the Cowboys, also in northern California.
The two men met in a park in Dublin a few hours a day.
Cooper also spent time on the phone with quarterback Dak Prescott.
"I've learned a lot so far," said Cooper, via Jon Machota of Dallas Morning News. "It is clear that I have just arrived and that we have to play this week. I have to go and play Monday, and the system is completely new.
"At the end of the day, it's football. I played in several different systems, so after a while, you really do the same things; they just call it something different. "
