Thousands of Amazon.com users have reported product search issues on the online retailer Wednesday, according to the Down Detector website and reports on social networks.

Many reports have complained that research on the big online retailer has yielded no results.

"It's not just you, the search for Amazon seems to be down," CNET reported Wednesday.

The publication reported that the search failure affected desktop, mobile application, and application users at approximately 16:00 hours. EDT. At 5:30 pm, USA TODAY was able to research the three platforms.

Amazon could not be contacted immediately for comments, but an Amazon support page suggested users to try another browser. In a tweet, Amazon Help said the search "seems to work properly".

Users have flooded the Down Detector website with thousands of reported problems using Amazon's services Wednesday afternoon, a considerable spike among the handful of reports that the site received earlier in the day.
