The creator and stars of the upcoming series of Amazon Prime Good omens The New York Comic Con announced Saturday the release of new details on the upcoming series, based on the novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. The drama follows Aziraphale (Michael Sheen), an angel, and Crowley (David Tennant), a demon, while they work together to prevent the end of the times from being brought about by Satan's only son, the Antichrist (Sam Taylor Buck). Saturday's panel, moderated by Whoopi Goldberg and starring Neil Gaiman, Michael Sheen, David Tennant, Jon Hamm and Miranda Richardson, included two clips, a cheeky joke between the actors and the first incredible trailer of the Amazon series.
In the first clip, Aziraphale and Crowley return home after a failed trip to find the missing Antichrist. Crowley has some thoughts on the musical choices of Aziraphale. Crowley jokes: "You know, if you lined up a million people and asked them to describe the Velvet Underground, none of them would sound like bebop." The curious beard never quite arrives, however, while Aziraphale is preoccupied with the Book of Prophecies of Agnes Nutter and goes to the bookseller.
In the second clip, Angel Gabriel (Hamm) deigns to descend on earth and visit Aziraphale at the bookstore. In an attempt to blend in, Gabriel introduces himself and announces that he wants to buy one of the store's material objects. His charming angel hand man reminds him that this is called a book and that it is probably pornography. Gabriel, of course, remembers that human beings are so easily embarrassed and demands that they go out and buy their pornography privately. In the back, the poorly erected cover falls and they begin to discuss business until they catch a hint of mischief. Aziraphale blames him on the books of Jeffrey Archer, although we all know that it is Crowley.
And finally, the actors presented the brand new trailer that you can watch above. Between the eternal friendship of Aziraphale and Crowley and all the hints of future adventures, Good omens seems ready to blow our feet. Welcome to the end of time.
