NEW YORK — The online leader, Amazon Inc., declined to comment on Tuesday reports that it plans to split its new headquarters, the second seat, between two sites.
The New York Times said the company was in the process of signing agreements to install the new facility in Arlington, Virginia's Crystal City, Washington, DC, and Long Island City neighborhood. , in the Queens district, in New York.
Amazon already employs more employees in these two regions than anywhere else, with the exception of its only current port of call in Seattle and the San Francisco Bay Area, the Times points out.

The Journal said that the main reason for these two new installations is to allow Amazon to recruit more talent.
Dividing the expected 50,000 employees in the new headquarters would also ease the pressure of housing and transportation demand.
The newspapers quoted anonymous people familiar with the subject in their reports.
The Times said that Amazon executives met with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo last month and that the state had offered hundreds of millions of dollars in subsidies. They also met New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, according to the newspaper.
"I'm going to change my name to Amazon Cuomo if that's what it takes," said Cuomo quoted by the report.
Amazon's decision to create another seat sparked intense competition among municipalities.
Some sites have tried to stand out with stunts, but Amazon has pointed out that it wants financial incentives, such as tax breaks and subsidies. She also wanted a city of over a million residents, an airport within 45 minutes drive, direct access to public transit and an expansion area.
The company received 238 proposals before reducing the list to 20 in January.
Amazon announced that it could spend more than $ 5 billion on the new head office over the next 17 years, about the size of its current Seattle headquarters, which includes 33 buildings, 23 restaurants and 40,000 employees .
The company is not leaving Seattle, and Amazon's founder and CEO, Jeff Bezos, said the new headquarters would be "equal" to its current headquarters.
Amazon already employs 600,000 people. This is expected to increase with the construction of more warehouses across the country to track online orders.
The company recently announced that it would pay at least $ 15 per hour to all its workers, but employees at its second head office will be paid much more. Amazon tells them that they will earn on average more than $ 100,000 a year.
