Amazon offers new incentives to anyone who wants to open and run a messaging company offering packages for the e-commerce giant.

The company says delivery partners that are accepted into the program could earn about $ 300,000 in annual profits by operating a fleet of up to 40 delivery vehicles.

To begin, partners need only a minimum investment of $ 10,000. Individuals can apply via the company's website.

Amazon said it would provide discounts on custom Amazon brand vehicles for delivery, brand uniforms, a fuel program, full insurance coverage, and more.

Those interested in applying for the program do not need to have experience in delivery and logistics, the company said.

Amazon said it was planning to hire hundreds of business owners in the program that would employ tens of thousands of drivers across the United States.

Amazon is already working with hundreds of third-party courier companies nationwide that are hiring and managing their own fleets of drivers.

The new incentives appear to be part of an effort by Amazon to rapidly expand this network, while its last-mile delivery needs have ballooned in recent years.

The shipping costs of the company nearly doubled in three years, rising from $ 11.5 billion in 2015 to $ 21.7 billion in 2017.

Amazon stated that current delivery service providers would also have access to the new discounts.
