Amazon's 100 million members have been buying their holiday gifts from the e-commerce giant for years, but this year the company is increasing its game of the holiday shopping season. They will also sell live seven-foot trees so that Amazon buyers can put all these gifts.

According to the Associated Press, Amazon will sell various Christmas trees, including Norfolk pines and Douglas fir, which they will ship within 10 days of the cut. The trees will be shipped without water, but Amazon believes that they will go well until they arrive at their destination. An Amazon vacation preview book showed a seven-foot Fraser fir at $ 115.

Some trees will be eligible for free two-day shipping for primary members. Amazon said that buyers can pre-order trees and choose a delivery date, but have not specified when pre-orders will be available. It is also unclear whether customers can choose a particular tree as they do in a Christmas tree park or pick one for them.

Artificial trees are currently available on Amazon's online store. Last year, the e-commerce giant sold live trees less than three feet tall, but this year will be the first to offer the tallest trees that many families prefer.

According to the National Christmas Tree Association, 27 million live Christmas trees were sold last year, but only 1% or 2% were purchased online. Amazon loyal customers and the free shipping option could increase this number.
