Previously, Amazon buyers without a premium membership had to spend at least $ 25 to receive free shipping. But this year, Amazon is removing the minimum purchase requirement for free delivery in order to offer customers even more convenient and faster delivery options, "the company said in a statement.
Premium members already enjoy a free two day shipping, but they enjoy a new benefit. Generally, Amazon's same-day delivery is only available for a million items or so. But for the holidays, more than three million items will be eligible for same day delivery.
Hundreds of millions of items will be eligible for free shipping, the retailer said.
