Amber alert canceled after the discovery of a toddler in southern California

CALIFORNIA – An Amber alert issued Saturday night in southern California was canceled after the authorities found an infant kidnapped in the highlands.

Xavier Alexander, a 15-month-old boy, and his mother were found safe in Claremont. Police tweeted around 10:49 pm

The suspect, Brandon Alexander, was arrested.

Police said that Alexander had broken into his ex-girlfriend's house before taking it off with the toddler. He is on probation for domestic violence and his ex-girlfriend has been sentenced to a restraining order, authorities said.

The alert comes after the authorities asked the public to find a missing 4-year-old girl in Washington State.

No other information was immediately available.
