Amber Alert issued for a teenage girl taken at home in Topeka KS

Updated at 9:45 am: Shaquan Mitchell was found Thursday and the Amber alert he issued was canceled, according to an email update regarding the case that occurred shortly before 9 h 30 in the morning.

The authorities also found one of the people suspected of kidnapping, Trevor Williams, 19, and questioned him Thursday morning. He is in custody.

The authorities are still looking for the other person whose identity is unknown.

Shaquan R. Mitchell is black, about 6 feet tall and weighs 175 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes and wore a blue hoodie while he was apparently forced to leave 1175 SW Woodhull to Topeka on foot to 12:30 pm on Thursday According to the authorities, two people armed with handguns entered the house and took Mitchell and a television.

Trevon J. Williams, 19, and another unknown person are believed to have kidnapped Mitchell, according to an email about the Amber Alert.

Williams is black, has dark hair and brown eyes, is about 6 feet 3 inches, weighs 172 pounds and was last seen wearing black clothes and a blue bandana on his face.

The other person was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt that was plastered to his face, the message says.

Anyone who knows where a teenager or stranger is is invited to call 911 immediately.
