AMC executive to become CEO of Entertainment for new 'Fox'

Charlie Collier, executive director of entertainment for the new entity "Fox", which will be created when the company will have completed the current sale of assets to

As Chief Executive Officer of Entertainment, Mr. Collier will oversee Fox's Fox Broadcasting Unit and lead its programming strategy. In addition to Fox Broadcasting, Fox's new assets include Fox News, Fox Business and Fox Sports.

At AMC Networks, Mr. Collier was responsible for AMC, its production studios, and the Sundance television channel. He oversaw AMC during a period of tremendous growth in popularity through original shows such as "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad".

"Charlie is a unique talent, combining creative success and operational expertise to lead the AMC Network with some of the most memorable TV shows," said Lachlan Murdoch, Fox's general manager.

Mr. Collier will report to Mr. Murdoch.

Dana Walden and Gary Newman, chief executive officers of Fox Television Group, will remain in their current positions until closing of the transaction. Walden leaves for management position at Walt Disney Co.
