A global event left a group confined to a radiation-resistant home in Ryan Murphy's anthology horror series.
The horror series in the anthology "American Horror Story" by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk returns for the eighth time this fall, and this time, she tackles a trope more often seen in science fiction: The end of the world. FX released Wednesday the official trailer of "American Horror Story: Apocalypse." Although he is clear on the details of the plot, he includes a glimpse of the cast of the series in their all-new roles.
After an apocalyptic event that left the air outside radioactive, Murphy previously described "Apocalypse" as a "crossover" between "Murder House" and "Coven", the first and third seasons. Although she does not appear in the trailer, Jessica Lange will be back this season. The two-time Oscar winner and triple Emmy winner co-starred in Murphy's limited "Feud" series in 2017, but has not participated in "AHS" since season 4 ("Freak Show" in 2015).
Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Billy Eichner, Lily Rabe, Leslie Grossman, Billie Heavy and Emma Roberts are also featured. The series, which has already been renewed for season 9, was resumed for a tenth season in August. Season 8 will air on September 12 on FX.
