It's the end of the world and now there is a trailer for it. FX released the first American horror story: Apocalypse trailer just in time before the premiere of September 12th. The network unleashed the trailer on Tuesday, September 4 with a teaser that allowed the Twitter sphere to spread rightly.
The new season, season eight, which is a cross between American Horror Story: Murder House and American Horror Story: Coven, pick up the world as we (and the witches) know it AHS: Apocalypse features an extensive cast, including but not limited to Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters, Billie Heavy, Adina Porter, Kathy Bates, Leslie Grossman, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Cody Fern, Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott, Taissa Farmiga, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe and Stevie Nicks. Jessica Lange will return to the franchise for the first time since season four. Watch his reappearance in the trailer above.
The trailer above shows the end of the world and features characters played by Grossman, Eichner, Peters, Collins and Heavy. Spectators also have a first glimpse of the mysterious (and sadistic) characters played by Paulson and Bates. And then there are the witches. How did so many witches come back after the events of AHS: Coven? Good question. We have theories.
Lange will appear in the sixth episode of the season with Paulson's staging. She will play Constance Langdon, the grandmother of the Antichrist, Michael Langdon (Fern). She won an Emmy for her work as Constance AHS: Murder House.
Many of the returning cast members take characters from past seasons, Paulson playing three characters: Cordelia Goode, Billie Dean Howard and the mysterious Venable. Peters is also playing new characters. The details of the new mysterious figures are hidden. See the previous teaser below.
American horror story: Apocalypse Wednesday, September 12th on FX.
