NEW YORK – Amtrak and New Jersey public transit service resumed with delays after Penn Station suspended service temporarily Saturday morning.
Teams are working on repairing overhead cable issues at the New York Penn Station, Amtrak tweeted.
Power was restored on a runway at New York Penn Station. Trains heading east will begin to move first as the restoration of electricity continues to be done on the other track, the agency said.
Shortly after midnight Saturday, the agency tweeted late to cross the New York train station due to catenary wire problems on the tubes on the west side.
The New Jersey Transit Service has resumed and is operating with 30-minute delays inside and outside Penn Station.
PATH honors NJT train tickets in Newark, Hoboken, World Trade Center and Journal Square.
NJT buses also accept NJT train tickets for the entire system.
