Amy Schumer canceled her upcoming stand-up shows due to complications of pregnancy.
The actress and the comedian took to Instagram Thursday to reveal that she is in the hospital with hyperemesis gravidarum, or severe morning sickness and vomiting. In her post, she apologized to her fans for missing the shows.
"Texas, I'm really sorry, I'm really looking forward to these shows, I have to reprogram, I'm in the hospital," she wrote. "I have hyperemesis and that breath." Very lucky to be pregnant but that's a bit (expletive)! "
She added, "I'm fine, baby is fine, but everyone who says that the second trimester is better does not tell the whole story.I was even sicker this quarter."
Schumer is not the first expectant mother to deal with severe nausea. The British duchess Kate also suffered from the same complication during her pregnancy.
