An armed man in Black Friday: the shooting remains free, according to the police of Alabama

At least one suspect is on the run at a Black Friday shopping mall in Alabama after being killed by a police officer who killed a 21-year-old man, wrongly considered by the authorities.

Officials first announced that Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Jr. had fired the bullets that had injured an 18-year-old man with whom he was fighting at Riverchase Galleria in the Birmingham suburb of Hoover. Hundreds of people fled the crowded mall after the gunshots of Thanksgiving night.

They said however that Bradford could have been involved "in some aspects of the altercation".

The investigators said that they now thought that more than the two men were involved in the initial fight and that at least one gunman was still on the run.

The unidentified officer who shot Bradford was put on administrative leave while a separate internal investigation into the part of the case involving officers was continuing, police officials said. Hoover.

The mall was closed after the shooting but reopened on Friday.

"We are devastated by last night's incident at our mall," said Lindsay Kahn, spokesperson for retail group Brookfield Properties, owner of the mall. "We are working closely with the Hoover Police Department and we are grateful for their quick action to contain the situation."
