NASHVILLE, Tenn. Hearts are heavy in Nashville, Tennessee, after an Atlanta national was injured in the head in the second quarter at the Vanderbilt State Tennessee football match Saturday afternoon.
TSU Tigers' Christion Abercrombie linebacker was taken to the Vanderbilt Medical Center for emergency surgery.
Players from Tennessee State University and Vanderbilt University gathered in the middle of the field on Saturday to pray for the sophomore, according to Tennessean.

Abercombie has been transferred from Illinois to TSU, according to the official website of TSU Tigers.
He graduated from Westlake High School in Atlanta in 2016. Abercombie helped WHS to get a record of 10-3 in 2015 and won the title of Defensive Player of the Year for the Georgia Region 3 (AAAAAA).
