MIAMI (CNN) – An immigrant mother and daughter separated after crossing the border met in Miami, Florida on Sunday.

Buena Ventura Godinez-Martin had not seen her for 7 years-old girl in almost two months. Godinez-Martin was fleeing gang violence in Guatemala.

She entered the United States with her 10-month-old son in May to apply for asylum.
