An inflatable colon was stolen in Kansas City

An inflatable colon of $ 4,000 was stolen last week and no one really knows why or who stole it.

The colon was stolen from the Kansas University Cancer Center at the back of a pickup truck in Kansas City, Kansas last week. Wichita Eagle reports. The Cancer Center now wants to replace his colon or at least recover the stolen colon.

The colon itself does not look much like a salmon-colored tunnel, but its importance stems from its use as a teaching tool. And coincidentally, the colon was en route for a walk / run on Saturday to educate people about colon cancer when it was stolen.

"Screening for colorectal cancer is the most powerful weapon we have against colorectal cancer," said John Ashcraft, DO, oncologist surgeon at the University of Kansas Cancer Center in a statement.
