The divorce proceedings in progress Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Since the split of the couple in September 2016, the number of news published in the tabloids has been abundant. One of the biggest issues throughout the year was the arrangement for the care of their six children. As of Monday, we have a start date for the alleged trial – December 4 – by TMZ. Jolie would have asked for full custody; Pitt reportedly asked for shared custody. This could be decided before Christmas. (A representative from Pitt declined to comment.) Jolie's lawyer did not respond to a request for comment.)
The extremely famous former couple has been striving from the start to keep the details to himself, without success. In January 2017, they agreed to go ahead with a private judge, which can preserve a semblance of privacy and speed things up, but this incident failed last summer, when files leaked during the proceedings had representatives of Pitt defending her support payments, and Jolie's representatives speaking to the press to deny that she had tried to hide the children from her. Lately, it still seems that all the procedural details of the courtroom are reaching TMZ or its rival, The Blast; none is too small or dry to cover.
Now, the end may be in sight: they would have filed a petition allowing them to suspend this divorce until June and, after their placement in detention, they discussed the distribution of their pre-nup-less assets. ("Who owns Miraval Castle ?!" we continue shouting in the night.)
