Be part of a high profile celebrity couple is difficult. Work long unpredictable hours while your partner's schedule is just as busy as yours, taking care of everything related to life in the spotlight, and try to raise children and keep your relationship alive? It seems almost impossible, but some people can make it work. On Monday, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban celebrated their birthday with Instagram posts, and it is clear that they are as in love as they were 12 years ago when they got married.
To be totally fair, Kidman and Urban are known for their sweet relationship, so it's not really this surprising that their birthday messages are also awesome. Although both Instagram posts have shared moments of return, it's really hard to say which is the most adorable. Maybe it's a tie?
Kidman shared a video of their wedding moments, with clips that look like exactly like something that was shot in 2006 should. From the video of the ocean to the couple who kisses in church where they got married, it is the perfect way to pay tribute to such a special day in their life.
"Remember 12 years ago today in a church in Manly, Australia," wrote Kidman in his caption. "I still have the impression of being yesterday, I am a lucky woman."
The Urban mail for the occasion was just as sweet, including a photo of him and Kidman that seems to have been taken a long time ago. In the photo, Urban is at the piano while Kidman is dancing with flowers in his hair, and it seems like they're really having fun together.
"12 years of celestial soulful synergic dance," Urban writes. "Happy Birthday Babygirl !!! I love you so much."
How nice is it? If there was always a doubt in your mind that these two were going to take the distance, these posts take care of that. After all, if they managed to get through the first 12 years (and two kids), what can they do at this point?
This is not the first time Kidman and Urban are throwing each other on social media, not at all. In fact, this video that they shared AMA 2017 in November is a perfect way to summarize their relationship; Even though Urban greeted his followers, it's hard to ignore how he and Kidman look at each other. Honestly, we should all to be with someone who looks at us as Keith Urban is looking at Nicole Kidman. Can we talk about how cute they are?
And then, there is this really adorable photo that Kidman shared of their trip back from the Time 100 Gala earlier this year, where they snuggle together next to each other as if things were still new and had not been together for more than a decade.
The end of the honeymoon is a reality, and at one point, many married couples or people who have been in a long-term relationship are not enough as affectionate as they once were, but it seems obvious that the honeymoon period has never ended for these two. What do they know that the rest of us do not do?
Perhaps the secret to Kidman and Urban's marital success is the fact that they are so open about their love on social media? Or maybe because they are really as compatible as they always seemed to be. Whatever it is, it's great to see that they're celebrating 12 years of marriage, because that's just another proof that true love is, in fact, real. Congratulations, you two.
