Traffic was slowly but slowly moving up and down Interstate 5 in northern California on Monday after transport officials reopened part of the west coast vital link Delta fire.

"It's a normal traffic," said fire spokeswoman Lia Parker. "I actually look at I-5 and that's normal."
In some fire zones, the posted speed limit was 25 mph, but Parker said she saw cars go up to 50 mph on a restricted stretch. The public used the right lanes to the north and south, while the left lanes were reserved for firefighters and other emergency vehicles, she added.
No accidents were reported from 3 pm, Parker said.
Vehicles were allowed to return to the highway after bridges and other infrastructure were inspected for fire damage.
According to CalTrans, vehicles carrying flammable materials from hay to gasoline (excluding fuel in their own tanks) are still prohibited from crossing the fire zone.
The Delta fire and the 46,150-acre fire near Hirz rocketed Sunday, and an incident management team in California on Hirz's fire took over operations of fighting both fires.
The Hirz fire, which caught fire on August 9, was reported Monday morning at 95%, with firefighter teams concentrating on cleaning tasks and strengthening firing lines. Like the Delta fire, he was of human origin.
The Delta fire rose slowly during Sunday night, in part because of the shadow created by smoke and an inversion of the air, while firefighters continued to protect the structures in the southeast sector. of the fire.
The headwinds helped push the fire north and northeast, while flames crossed a line of intervention cut off during Carr's previous southwesterly fire, fire officials said. Carr's fire was contained on August 30th.
Nearly 3,000 firefighters and support personnel are assigned to the fire, whose date of confinement is estimated at 22 September.
Elsewhere, the Klondike fire, with an area of 130,258 acres, in the Kalmiopsis Desert, near Selma, is confined to 51%. The Bear Camp Road was closed Saturday at any traffic without traffic lights from the intersection with Merlin-Galicia West Road until the intersection with Forest Service Road 33 near Agness. However, on Monday, fire crews paved the way for vehicles serving people floating in the wild and scenic section of the Rogue River, as well as residents of Agness.
