The last season of "Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown" was presented Sunday night and brought tears to the fans.
Bourdain, who committed suicide in June, spoke with W. Kamau Bell when he was there in Kenya and he was lucky.
"I pinch myself because I can not believe that I can do that or see it, ever, or never," said Bourdain, reflecting on the breadth of his origins. "Because at age 44, frying fries, I knew with absolute certainty that I would never see Rome much less."
But the comment that most touched people may have been at the end, when Bourdain seemed to be talking not only about his legacy, but about what could happen next:
"Who can tell the stories? This is a question often asked. The answer, in this case, for better or for worse, is me. At least this time. I am doing my best. I watch; J & # 39; listening. But in the end, I know, it's my story. No Kamau. Not Kenyans or Kenyans. These stories have yet to be heard.
Sunday's show was the last episode of "Parts Unknown" for which Bourdain finished his scripted narration. However, the shoot ended on several others, including Indonesia, West Texas, Spain and the Lower East Side of New York.
During the summer, CNN announced that it would use Bourdain audio from filming each episode to serve as a narrative. These episodes and two special Bourdain shows will air on Sunday nights until mid-November.
