Anthony Rizzo dealt with the foolish Cubs' travel program by never removing his uniform

The Chicago Cubs had a bad time in terms of travel this week. After Wednesday's loss to the Milwaukee Brewers, they had to jump on a plane and travel to Washington, DC, to play a make-up game against the Nationals who had been roughed up last weekend. This is the kind of short-term travel program that tends to make the athletes very grumpy – the Cubs have not checked into their hotel before the match yesterday until 4:00 am in the morning – and this one is particularly difficult because it lasts 30 days. in which the Cubs will not have a single day off. Anthony Rizzo, the base player, took the fast pace, preferring to simply wear his uniform on the Chicago-British Columbia flight.

Rizzo arrived at the national park in uniform and told reporters before the match that he had not even taken any extra clothes for the quick trip to D.C.

Rizzo says he has done the amusing feat of not complaining about the team's tough travels, but simply to have fun with a difficult situation. From ESPN:

They understand the human element and they do not seem to care about it at all. So that's what it is. We can sit here and complain about [it], or we can joke about it. I will take the joke around me – a lot more fun.

It's fun and good, but too bad that anyone had to sit next to Rizzo on the flight back to Chicago.
