Antonio Brown did not join the Steelers Monday after the Chiefs defeat | Bleacher's report

All-Pro receiver Antonio Brown did not show up Monday after the Pittsburgh Steelers' 42-37 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed to journalists Brown was not available to the team but did not want to say if the absence was an excuse. Tomlin added he will meet Brown.

Ed Bouchette and Gerry Dulac of Pittsburgh Post-Gazette first reported the news of Brown 's absence for meetings and film studies.

Pittsburgh is now 0-1-1 on the season after knotting the Cleveland Browns in Week 1.

By ESPN Jeremy Fowler, Brown appeared to be entering into a confrontation with offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner during Sunday's game.

Later, after quarterback Ben Roethlisberger showed up for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, Brown went to the other end of the line as the rest of the team celebrated.

Brown finished with nine receptions for 67 yards in the loss.

After the game, former Steelers employee Ryan Scarpino shot Brown on Twitter, prompting Brown to respond on Monday:

According to Fowler, Steelers linebacker Bud Dupree suggested that Brown's commercial comment was simply frustrated after a difficult defeat.

Tomlin told reporters Tuesday that Brown did not ask a market.

Brown, 30, has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of the past five seasons and has been selected into the first All-Pro team in four consecutive seasons.

He has also played in five consecutive 100-catch seasons and will play in a 2017 season where he recorded 101 catches for 1,533 yards and nine touchdowns.

Brown and the Steelers must travel to Tampa this week to face the Buccaneers Monday night football.
