PITTSBURGH – Antonio Brown illuminated Twitter on Monday in response to a former Steelers public relations staffer who criticized the importance of the receiver for the team's attack.
"Exchange me, let's find out," tweeted Brown.
The answer was addressed to Ryan Scarpino, who worked for the Steelers from 2010 to 2017 and tweeted about Brown and his quarterback Ben Roethlisberger: "AB has to thank his good stars because he was recruited by Ben. paid AB, you know he would not put those numbers for the other teams. "
While he was employed by Steelers, Scarpino was daily in the locker room and interacting with the players.
Brown was not present at the media Monday afternoon. After Sunday's 42-37 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, he left the locker room before the media entered.
Brown scored 67 yards on nine catches and 17 targets, but the CBS show caught Brown in a confrontation with offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner on the sideline. Later in the game, Fichtner spent a few minutes talking to Brown alone on the bench, then rubbing his head.

ESPN left a message to Drew Rosenhaus, Brown's agent, about Monday's tweet. The team did not comment on this.
Linebacker Bud Dupree said Monday that the team knew that Brown did not want any operations and that he thought he was just letting off steam after a tough defeat.
"You know how AB is, especially after a loss like this," Dupree said. "The guys are going to say things – he just wants to help the team win as much as possible, we know he'll be ready, he's doing great things there, he always knows we're doing it." ; have ".
Brown has recorded five consecutive seasons of 100 shots, and many of Roethlisberger's best statistical seasons came playing with Brown in his strength.
In the Steelers 'final race at the Chiefs' match, Roethlisberger seemed to score in Brown's lead after a third goal-line match. When Roethlisberger scored in a fourth race, Brown went alone to the sidelines while the rest of the attack was celebrated in the opposite corner.
This is not the first time last week that Brown has made waves on social media. On Wednesday, Brown apologized for a tweet threatening ESPN senior writer Jesse Washington about an article on The Undefeated titled "Antonio Brown is an All-Pro Instagram." But is this a complete picture ? "
Steelers guard David DeCastro said the players were aware of Brown's tweet to Scarpino, but he does not care about that.
"I think it would be easier for all of us to worry about football," said DeCastro about the use of social media by players. "But it's the day and the age."
