All your favorite characters "American Horror Story" come back in the new season, "Apocalypse".
In a trailer released Wednesday, the FX series gave a first glimpse of the nuclear apocalypse story of the eighth season, which seems to be the focus of the series. The trailer also featured players like Billy Eichner, Billie Heavy, Lily Rabe and Kathy Bates.
The video opens with a sinister message – "No more news, chaos has won" – as hordes of pedestrians run between cars in a typical apocalyptic form. Shortly after, Cult's co-star Eichner and Leslie Grossman appear on the screen before Grossman takes the plane with other veterans of Horror Story, Heavy and Evans Peters , and Joan Collins, newcomer to the series.
The rest of the trailer focuses on the effects of a nuclear apocalypse, giving a first glimpse of Sarah Paulson's new character in action. Alongside Billie Dean Howard, Murder House, and Cordelia Foxx, of Coven, Paulson will also play the role of Venable, a mysterious woman who runs a safe house in the midst of nuclear devastation. The character was teased for the first time in a short trailer that showed Paulson drawing names from a bingo player.
The trailer is also filled with reminders in the first and third seasons of the series, including an appearance of Murder House's rubber villain, who crawls over two unsuspecting victims and several Coven returns, including Emma Roberts .
The closing of the video is an appearance of the antichrist, itself interpreted by Cody Fern, the newcomer of "Horror Story", who asks Kathy Bates "What do you think?" And his answer? "Glory to Satan."
"American Horror Story: Apocalypse" debuts on September 12th.
