Aquaman: First reactions Twitter Roundup

Aquaman was screened for the press before the release of the film, and those who saw it are now allowed to post their reactions on social media.

On the whole, the reactions have been extremely positive. Many paid tribute to James Wan's vision and creativity for the film, as well as to the "visual show" and entertainment that it provides to the viewer, and especially to DC fans. Some reactions were disappointed and revealed that the expectations were not too high, but that overall, the film was still a good time.

Here's a summary of Twitter's first reactions:

IGN's entertainment team shared his thoughts, and Terri Schwartz endorsed it. to none other than Julie Andrews' voice as a giant Kraken.

Jim Vejvoda of IGN also had positive remarksBy saying that the film was good and even if it was "full of ridiculous elements", you would basically need to be unhappy with life if you did not like it.

Scott Menzel from We Live Entertainment said James Wan created a "one-of-a-kind story about the origin of superheroes" and declared himself excited about the images.

Rougeau from GameSpot said the movie is "flawed, but fun." Overall, he has expressed a positive opinion about the creativity and the madness of it all.

Screenwriter and director Ben Mekler has only good things to say about Aquaman, and that it is like a Star Wars going on under water. He said the movie was "everything DC fans were hoping for and more".

Peter Sciretta of Slash said that he was "better than expected" and that the film looked like a film from the first phase of Marvel Cinematic Universe but in a good way.

Tom Jorgensen of IGN said that "Aquaman is the best DC movie since The Dark Knight" and Warner Bros. should just surrender the rights of the DCEU to James Wan.

Nicholas Whitcomb of HN Entertainment was not as excited as any otherAs he said the movie is "good" and not getting your hopes, but that overall James Wan "has delivered a fun adventure into the DC worlds".

Andrew J. Salazar of Geeks of Color said that Aquaman was the second best film in the DC universe after Wonder Woman. He said some things were not so exciting, but could be improved later.

Erik Davis of Fandango has only made incredible remarks at Aquaman, saying that it's "the most ambitious DC movie to date" and that it's a "visual show" that has incredible action and is fun to watch. He also praised James Wan, claiming that he had raised the material.

JoBlo's Paul Shirey said that he loved Aquaman and also delighted with the visual spectacle. He said: "Momoa is doing the character of his own" and that Wan has delivered the scale of the iconic traditional Aquaman with a modern feel.
