Arrow just revealed a great death and a new vigilante are on the way

Warning: the upcoming spoilers for the fourth episode of Arrow Season 7, called "Level Two".

Arrow Queen 7 has not resumed her usual activities, with Oliver Queen still behind bars and former members of the Arrow team scrambling to find their place in the new Star City. The show has already gone wild with flash-forward, unlike flashbacks that have fueled the first six seasons. The last batch of flash-forward revealed the death of a major character, the rise of a new vigilante and a very dark future for Star City. Let's start with lightning death: Felicity.

"Level Two" saw the future Roy and William make the trip back to Star City, which is a shell of what it was twenty years ago. The landscape is not as awful as in the Legends of tomorrow Star City who introduced the first new version of Green Arrow, but it's pretty bad.

The boys headed for an abandoned building that once housed Smoak Tech, a well-founded company that is clearly a great success for Felicity. (Interestingly, elsewhere in "Level Two," Black Siren confirmed that Felicity had also built a technological empire on Earth-2.)

Although William has always been bitter about the fact that he seems to have been abandoned by Felicity and Oliver, he revealed that Felicity had been interested in the technology and had leads in his career. He also recognized some of Felicity's designs and was able to activate some of the technology left in the abandoned building. All the signs seemed to indicate that the future Felicity would make an appearance and perhaps meet William with emotion.

Instead, "Level Two" dropped news about William that shocked and shocked him, proving that his remoteness from Felicity (and his confusion over the clues she had left him) did not mean that He did not love him anymore. Someone came near and threw the bomb that announced the death of Felicity and who was a person on whom William and Roy had a reason to trust: Dinah.

Yes, Dinah Drake is still alive and will be part of the future. Despite the fact that Dinah is currently a captain of the BPSC and does not want to bend the rules very much to accommodate litigants, she is back in the shadows and leading a twenty-year-old staff in the future. She arrived in time to save William and Roy after being attacked by a group of assailants who happened to be cops.

The cops of the future are still anti-vigilantes, but the SCPD is not even a little bit like before. Dinah revealed that everything had changed for Star City when the inhabitants of the clearings built a wall that prevented everyone from entering, and the cops were corrupted. They work to protect the clearings of anyone who tries to enter, and they are ready to kill any vigilante they encounter. This now includes Dinah.

The good news is that there is hope of getting into the clearings and perhaps ending the strange blockade that has apparently been established between the current time line and the flash-foward hell. They discovered a map showing the routes inside and outside the Glades, while he was supposed to have none. Felicity was the woman William thought he could help solve the mystery; Unfortunately, the news of Dinah means that it's not an option.

That is to say that Felicity is not an option assuming that she is really dead and that she has not just simulated her death or gone on extended vacations on another Earth, which led her friends to declare her legally dead. It certainly would not be the first time Arrow false killed someone, and I have a hard time believing that Arrow would really drop huge news on the death of a character in only the fourth episode of the season unless she is not dead or does not stay dead. Felicity fans should not despair for the moment!

"Level Two" also revealed a new vigil that will be active in the next twenty years, and she will be active with Dinah's blessing. It may not be what anyone expected a few minutes before the unveiling.

No, your eyes are not wrong. The young Zoe Ramirez will become a vigilante and she seems to be more or less Dinah's companion. William seemed to recognize her when she came out of the shadows, so either William is great at imagining what his childhood knowledge will look like in the next few decades, he and Zoe will spend time together .

In case you are a little disconcerted by the sudden transformation of René's daughter into a vigilante, it is probably because Arrow really only dropped meaningful hints that Zoe could follow the path of the vigilante earlier in "Level Two". Zoe almost died in a fire after a meeting between Dinah and Glades residents was burned, and it was only thanks to the timely arrival of Green Arrow 2.0 that she was saved.

Dinah went to Ramirez's apartment later in the episode to examine Zoe and give him a small gift: a pin with a canary on it. Zoe was touched by the gift, which could have hurt other children as a strange departure after an impending death experience. We can now say without fear that this foreshadowed Zoe's move to vigilance as the flash-forward unfolded.

There is a point that season 7 started with Rene giving boxing lessons to Zoe and other kids in the clearings, so there is at least a precedent for Zoe to learn to defend himself. Also, oddly enough, there is a precedent that the characters were ready to put on a mask and go down to the streets to fight crime after only a handful of boxing lessons. (Yes, I remember you, Laurel from Season 3!) Arrow continue with the flash-forward, we will probably see more adult Zoe in action.

At this point, I almost expect John Jr. to appear as a vigilante to build a Team Arrow 2.0 with Zoe and William. We will have to wait and see. Hopefully the flash-forward will begin to provide answers to all the new questions.

In the current schedule on ArrowOliver was busy being drugged and tortured – physically and psychologically – by a mysterious second level honorary chief, and Felicity was about to cross the front lines to try to catch Diaz. In an unlikely team, Felicity worked with Black Siren to try to obtain information about Silencer, who was finally allowed to escape in the hope of driving them to Diaz.

Give yourself to CW on Monday at 8pm. AND for new episodes of Arrow. There is much to hope for in the coming weeks, especially because the gigantic crossover "Elseworlds" is scheduled for next month.
