Arrow Season 7 – Inmate Episode 1: Inmate # 4587

The green arrow is back! This is not just the Oliver Queen version.

If Arrow Season 7 Episode 1 is a harbinger of what awaits you for the rest of the season, fasten your seatbelt because we are ready for a hell. "Inmate # 4587" could very well be the best ever in Arrow's history, which says a lot because Arrow knows how to start a season.

Now, I know what many of you probably think, although each season always has a good start, but then the rest of the season gets troubled and goes everywhere. After Arrow Season 5 and Arrow Season 6, it's a fair evaluation.

However, call me an optimist, but I feel that will not be the case with Arrow Season 7.

Inmate 4587 - Arrow Season 7 - Episode 1

The main reason for my optimism is that there is a sense of mystery that has not existed in Arrow since its first season. "Inmate # 4587", which looked like the past, also contained many small items.

Arrow is back to its roots and Oliver Queen's trip still has a lot of potential to be spectacular.

Although the story itself can be spectacular, the situation in which Oliver finds himself is exactly the opposite. Mr. Queen's mental state is in an extremely fragile place right now, and the calm and timid Oliver, whom we have seen throughout the episode, was destined to crack.

It was surprising how long it took before it collapsed. But Oliver's trip was remarkable throughout the episode. Stephen Amell never gets enough credit for the range that he owns. His chops are often neglected because of his abs. It's a pity.

I have to admit that I was a bit hesitant about the whole prison scenario, mainly because it just happened in Flash season 4. Yet after five minutes it was clear that Oliver in prison was a much more complex scenario than Barry in prison. . Comparing them is almost impossible because the story told is so different.

And maybe I'm a bit biased because Arrow has always been my number one show in Arrowverse, but Oliver's passing in jail is sure to outclass Barry's.

Friend or enemy? - Arrow Season 7 Episode 1

One reason is due to a new character named Stanley. Oliver is so used to relying on his best friend Diggle and his wife Felicity to help him through the tough times, but they can not be there for him now.

Although Stanley is not exactly Oliver's number one fan after letting him get beaten up, I see a flourishing friendship in the works.

Oliver has warned just about every other prisoner by punching a couple of inmates you do not want to ruin. Stanley seems smart enough to know that aligning with Oliver is the right solution, even though Oliver had let him hurt himself before.

It would also be a good decision for Oliver, because, as Diggle had warned, his mental state is seriously threatened if he continues to keep his head down and stay isolated from his fellow prisoners. Stanley could very well be the person who keeps the Oliver that we know and love mentally.

The reason there is a new green arrow is logical because the old one is a coward.

Stanley

A woman whose mental state is also very fragile is the wife of Oliver, no doubt Felicity. The computer genius is now a barista thanks to the witness protection program set up for her and to William Felicity who wins the worst demotion award of the year.

She does her best to be strong for William, but it's obvious that when a client asks her out, the absence of Oliver makes her feel sick.

Client: You could always change your mind at dinner? Unless it just puts me on your list of scary customers?
Felicity: Are you asking me out?
Customer: Now I regret it.
Felicity: No, as if I were flattered and all. Woah, always had it.

Unfortunately for Felicity, the drumming customers were not her only problem. Unlike previous seasons that tended to drag on, Diaz suddenly and unexpectedly returned to the new home of Felicity and William.

Felicity kissed the inner badass that she only came out occasionally and managed to fight Diaz long enough for William to escape.

Their fight was reversed between Oliver to fight a bunch of Diaz idiots while he was naked in the shower!

This sequence was television at its best. Seriously, I watched it again about five times.

My new look - Arrow Season 7 - Episode 1

If that was not enough to make you love this episode, Felicity and Oliver later had a heart to heart. It was after he thought that Felicity had been killed by Diaz because one of his henchmen had said it during the shower fight.

Seeing the love and relief in his eyes when he saw Felicity enter was so romantic and beautiful. It was a moment that will remain in the history books of Olicity.

Rocky Marriage - Arrow Season 7 - Episode 1

Felicity, being his volunteer wife, told Oliver that she could no longer be protected by witnesses and that she had to defend herself. One of my best wishes for Season 7 of Arrow was to bring back Felass, our tough guy, and it seems like my wish has been granted!

It was almost poetic how Oliver tried to give him a final academic essay and begged him to reconsider, but in the end, he knew that the woman he married did not have a chance to go back to school. was not the kind of person who could sit and do nothing.

Olicity are really perfect for each other, and anyone who says otherwise clearly hates love.

I love you and I will always wait, but I can not let what happened to William and me happen again. I can not I have to defend myself. You understand all that.

While Oliver and Felicity were facing Diaz and the prison situation as a whole, Dinah and Rene were busy with a new activist.

I've always been more invested in Oliver and Felicity than in other characters, but the new vigilante who looks exactly like Green Arrow is really exciting.

There are many infinite possibilities!

Jason Stet … you failed this city.

Vigilante

The main theory of the flash-forward was that it would be Roy. I do not think that's the case. I think the story of William and Roy in its entirety will be completely different from that of the vigilantes.

Although it was mostly Dinah and Rene who were busy with the new "Green Arrow" of "Detainee # 4587", Oliver may want to do something about the copier. It's in its nature.

In motion - Arrow

The only drawback of this episode is the few things we've seen from Diggle and Laurel. Hopefully the two stories will be more detailed as the season progresses, but for now, I'm not too concerned about these minor issues. I'm excited to finally have the old arrow back!
