Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore finalized their divorce in 2013 after eight years of marriage. Kutcher and Moore, and most of the rumors that surrounded them, are long gone, but until recently, one thing remained apparently: a house that Kutcher and his former daughter-in-law Rumer Willis bought together in 2009.
The two-story, four-bathroom, 1,800-square-foot ranch house in the Hollywood Hills, which the two bought for $ 971,500, by legal documents obtained by the Blast, now belongs only to Willis. In the years following the purchase of the house, Kutcher and Willis' mother, Moore, broke up and Kutcher married This show of the 70s costar Mila Kunis. And yet, the house was still in the possession of Kutcher and Willis (and, by marriage, Kunis).
But on August 3, the documents indicate that Willis has signed papers terminating the co-ownership of the house and that Kutcher has filed a deed on his 50% Willis property. Kunis had to file a deed of quitclaim (a sophisticated term meaning that she renounced the property) in which she also signed the rights of the house to Willis.
There is no specific record of whether Willis paid Kutcher and Kunis for 100% rights to the house. But the house has recently "sold" $ 572,500 at the same time the paperwork went through, according to the explosion. Basically, this clearly indicates that this amount of money was going from Willis' pocket to Kutcher's pocket.
The house seems to be the last thread of a relationship that defined the mid-2000s. As for divorce, Kutcher said in a speech at Drake University that he had accepted the split.
"I was lucky enough to get divorced because I felt the impact and I felt how much loss there was and how much love there was in it and it was neither clean or messy, "he said.
Getting rid of a house of half a million dollars five years after the end of her divorce seems to be a little easier (especially if she stays in the family).
